On our visit, we learned that Heathsouth Plano Rehab Hospital’s Clinical Team is Nationally recognized as a top performing Hospital with Superior Patient Outcomes. This puts Heathsouth Plano Rehabilitation in the top 10% for the ranking in 2012. The facility is state of the art, and the professional staff has decades of experience in physical therapy and rehabilitation.
We enjoyed learning about each other’s experience and feel our in home care services are a great fit for Rehabilitation Hospitals, both in and out of home. John also discussed with the staff more about our Stroke Awareness program and our Rehabilitation recovery program. Our caregivers can be trained by the Physical Therapist coming to the patient home, and help the client do daily exercises to heal at a faster rate. Our in home caregivers give your loved one the advantage to healing faster since we provide an experienced caregiver at home to help be sure the senior is remembering to do the exercise correctly on a regular basis. This one-on-one care, helps your parent strengthen physically as recovering from a medical stay.
As an in home care company, we have caregivers on our payroll who have helped with physical therapy for recovering patients in Plano, Dallas, Richardson, Allen, and Frisco. After my Mother’s heart attack, caring for my Dad who was being treated for Prostate cancer was even more difficult. Mom needed a caregiver to help her regain her strength after her open heart surgery. Mom was recovering from a quadruple bypass. Mom spent time in a Rehab facility, but still needed care when she came back home. Dad was not feeling well, and a caregiver came into their home and reminded Mom to walk short distances to build up her strength.
The caregiver was such a blessing and she was there daily to be close by to help Mom from falling as Mom was working to regain her strength in light walking exercises. An in home caregiver helped her recover faster, and relieved stress by helping clean the house, make meals, and run errands, like picking up prescriptions and groceries. The caregiver would walk outside and pick up the newspaper, to putting the garbage out for pickup, and answer the door when visitors wanted to drop in and enjoy each other’s company. We felt this added security of having an in home caregiver helped Mom and Dad from falling. They were frail after time in the hospital and rehab, and the caregiver gave us the peace of mind. Mom and Dad healed and quickly improved with the added care of having an experienced Nurse Aid in their home daily to monitor and help promote wellness.
